Travel Medicine

Let us take care of your travel medicine and immunization needs so you stay healthy while traveling.

Travel medicine services available for business, vacation, missions or study abroad:

  • Pre-Travel Consultations with a Provider at one of our First Care Clinics
  • Travel Itinerary Review and Evaluation
  • Personalized recommendations for Immunizations, Prevention and Precautions
  • Immunizations for Travel
  • Prescriptions for Travel
  • Post-Travel Consultations at a First Care Clinic or with one of our Infectious Disease Specialists
It is recommended to schedule your travel consultation 6-8 weeks in advance of your travel, or as soon as possible. Some vaccinations are given in a series and require multiple doses over a period of months to develop full immunity. Immunizations for the purpose of foreign travel are not typically covered by health insurance plans. Therefore, St. Vincent’s First Care does not file a claim to your insurance plan. We will collect the full fee for each immunization to be administered at the time of your consult. We accept cash, check or credit card for payments.

Follow these steps before you travel;

Step 1

Fill out this contact us form and we will schedule a consultation

Step 2

Visit CDC Travel. Find your destination to view information on required vaccines, how to stay healthy and safe, what to bring and any active health related notices.

Step 3

Bring this completed questionnaire with you to your scheduled consultation along with a detailed travel itinerary, list of current medications and records of all previous immunizations.

Step 4

We may be able to provide immunizations at your initial consultation, or we may need to order them and have you return to receive them. We will advise you of all of your required and recommended vaccines and the cost during your initial consultation. We will require payment in advance of ordering any vaccinations.
