About Us
St. Vincent's Family Medicine Center, located across the street from St. Vincent's Riverside, serves as a large family practice physician office to the community that also trains physician-residents in the specialty of Family Medicine.
The Center operates on an appointment, fee-for-service basis and provides care for a balanced population of private pay, managed care and indigent patients. Its practice model serves as one of the many ways St. Vincent's HealthCare fulfills its mission of compassionate, available medical care for all members of the Jacksonville community.
Each year nearly 40,000 patients are served at the Center, which offers a primary care office and an obstetrical clinic and participates in the Vaccines for Children, a nationwide program that ensures that 90 percent of all children receive immunizations by the age of 2.
The Family Medicine Center accepts most major insurances.
St. Vincent's Family Medicine Residency Program
The 30 Physician Residents who practice at the Center are part of St. Vincent's Family Medicine Residency Program. They are supervised by Board Certified Family Medicine, Pediatric, Internal Medicine and OB/GYN faculty members who also practice in the community. In addition, residents receive supervision and support from licensed faculty in Behavioral Science and Clinical Pharmacology. The oversight assures that all patients, especially the poor and vulnerable, are provided with holistic healthcare with respect and compassion.
