St. Vincent's to open three stand-alone clinics
By Roger Bull for St. Augustine Record
St. Vincent’s HealthCare is opening three stand-alone centers in the Jacksonville area, including on in St. Johns County, that will include urgent care, primary care, imaging, lab services and specialty care.
■ 10503 San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin. St. Vincent’s has leased the former Walgreens and is renovating the 20,000-square-foot space. It’s scheduled to open the first quarter of 2017.
■ County Road 210 in St. Johns County. The hospital has purchased about 2.5 acres about a half-mile west of Interstate 95, between Winn-Dixie and VyStar Credit Union. It will also be about 20,000 square feet and is expected to open summer 2017.
■ The third location will be on Jacksonville’s Northside, a spokesman said, but no location has been chosen. The hospital is planning a late 2017 opening.
The total cost of the three is estimated at about $26 million. When fully operational, they’ll employ about 85 people.
While other area hospitals have such free-standing centers, this is the first for St. Vincent’s.
The spokesman said no others are planned after these first three.
