Jacksonville Daily's Dash customers to help mobile health ministry

By Beth Reese Cravey, Florida Times-Union

Customers ordering breakfast, lunch or dinner Friday at the 12 Jacksonville-area Daily’s Dash stores will be asked to “name their own price” for what they’d like to pay, with proceeds going to the St. Vincent’s Mobile Health Outreach Ministry.

The Name Your Own Price & Give Back event runs from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to a news release. Daily's Dash is a fast-casual restaurant that serves fresh, made-to-order breakfast and lunch food items.

Daily's has been a primary sponsor of ministry for six years, raising about $2.4 million.

"Daily's has supported St. Vincent's Mobile Health Outreach Ministry for many years through donations, events and sponsorships," said Aubrey Edge, president and CEO of Daily's. "We believe this will be a fun way to involve customers in our charitable efforts, especially around the holidays."

The ministry brings fully staffed mobile clinics to areas of the community where services are most needed, according to the release. St. Vincent's is the only mobile provider of free acute and preventive medical care in Northeast Florida.

The Name Your Own Price & Give Back event is just part of Daily's community support. Already in 2015, the company raised about $500,000 for local organizations, including the ministry as well as The Boselli Foundation, Birdies for the Brave, Saint Mark’s Episcopal Day School Scholarship and Angels for Allison. Daily’s also contributes to local schools and community sports in the region, according to the release.
