St. Vincent's Makes Top 100 List Of Great Women's Health Programs

St. Vincent's has made a top 100 list of great women's health programs

Becker's Hospital Review has named St. Vincent's HealthCare as one of the top 100 hospitals with great women's health programs.

The hospital offers outstanding health services geared toward women.

Hospitals were selected for this list based on clinical accolades and recognition for women's health excellence from various healthcare groups and agencies. Those agencies include U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, CareChex and UNICEF's Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.

St. Vincent's HealthCare operates three medical center locations in Jacksonville: Clay County, Riverside and Southside. The Southside location was originally founded by three women in 1873, making it the oldest private hospital in Florida. This year, St. Vincent's Medical Center Southside was designated as a Baby-Friendly hospital by Baby-Friendly USA. St. Vincent's delivers about 3,300 babies each year, has a Level II regional neonatal intensive care unit and offers obstetrics and gynecology services and women's education services.

The Riverside location houses a breast health center which offers a variety of services including digital mammography, breast ultrasound, minimally invasive biopsy, breast MRI and bone densitometry. St. Vincent's Medical Center was rated 21st by CareChex and designated as high-performing in gynecology by U.S. News & World Report for 2014-15.
