St. Vincent's names Blain Claypool president of new Clay County hospital

St. Vincent’s HealthCare has named Blain Claypool as the new president of St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay County.
Claypool will start working in February, but the hospital is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in October.
“On behalf of St. Vincent’s HealthCare, I am thrilled Blain is joining our team. He leads a hospital with multiple specialties and has a proven track record of improving quality measures, increasing employee satisfaction scores and growing volume,” said Moody Chisholm, St. Vincent’s CEO and president, in a news release. “Blain’s focus on developing a strong and coherent team will be beneficial as he expands our mission and brings our high standards of care to the people of Clay County.”
Claypool is currently the CEO of Renown South Meadows Medical Center in Reno, Nev.
“I am honored and humbled to accept this position and become a part of the growing St. Vincent’s family,” said Claypool in a news release. “I look forward to expanding the mission to families in Clay County who have long awaited these services and will benefit from this type of high-quality care for generations to come.”

St. Vincent’s makes progress on Clay County campus
MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- St. Vincent’s HealthCare continues to march towards its goal of opening a new medical center off of Bran Field-Chaffee Road by October 2013.
St. Vincent’s HealthCare named Blain Claypool the first medical center’s president Friday.
Claypool currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of South Meadows Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.
“I am honored and humbled to accept this position and become a part of the growing St. Vincent’s family,” said Claypool. “I look forward to expanding the Mission to families in Clay County who have long awaited these services and will benefit from this type of high-quality care for generations to come.”
When completed, the 36-acre medical campus will employ nearly 300 workers and accommodate around 220 patients.
