Diabetes Care and Education

services diabetesAs obesity and the incidence of type 2 diabetes skyrockets, the need for diabetes education, management, and treatment has become a priority for our community. Thousands on the First Coast have been diagnosed with diabetes, a disease that results in the body not properly using or not adequately producing insulin. It is a lifelong disease marked by high levels of sugar in the blood.

If you have uncontrolled diabetes, you stand the risk of high blood levels of glucose affecting nearly every organ in your body, including your eyes, kidneys, heart, and nerves in the feet. This could lead to long-term problems, including heart disease
