St. Vincent's HealthCare Gynecologic and Prostate Cancer Programs
As with any cancer diagnosis, the physicians and staff at St. Vincent’s HealthCare work hard to provide the best quality, compassionate care in order to obtain the best outcome possible. Cancer care is a team effort and it takes many types of physicians and healthcare providers to help patients through the journey. Whether it be the highly technical robotic surgical services or our patient navigator, St. Vincent’s is there for the entire journey. Below are some key aspects of our programs.
Sometimes surgery is needed in the fight against cancer. Physicians at St. Vincent’s use today’s most advanced techniques, including da Vinci© robotic-assisted surgeries. Different surgical options are covered between the Physician and patient – with the patient’s lifestyle taken into consideration.
The Radiation Oncology team at St. Vincent’s Mary Virginia Terry Cancer Center includes experienced Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Physicists, Radiation Therapists and Radiation Oncology Nurses. Treatment includes 3-D planning, the latest in digital linear accelerators for precision radiotherapy and specialty procedures.
