Voicing Your Concerns

As a patient, you have a legal right to make a complaint or express concerns about anything you think is unfair or wrong with the healthcare services you receive. You also have the right to expect your complaint or grievance to be reviewed in a way that is timely, correct and confidential.

St. Vincent's HealthCare (SVHC) is committed to resolving any concerns you may have. We will respond in a way that is timely and appropriate, and we will always protect your privacy. You may contact the unit/area manager or supervisor. If your concern is not resolved, you can call the Administrative Concern Hotline at 904-308-8791. You may start with this hotline if you prefer. 

The Joint Commission

SVHC is part of The Joint Commission, an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 17,000 healthcare organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization's commitment to meeting certain performance standards. If you have a concern about patient care or safety that has not been resolved by the hospital, you may contact the Joint Commission at 800-994-6610 or email complaint@jointcommission.org.
