St. Vincent's Gary and Nancy Chartrand Heart & Vascular Center is home to the largest cardiovascular program between Atlanta and Orlando. Cardiologists and cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons who practice at St. Vincent's are often among the first in the region to perform some of the most advanced surgeries and treatments for heart and vascular disease.
St. Vincent's opened a new Atrial Fibrillation (AFIB) Institute in July 2009. The addition to the hospital's award winning and nationally recognized heart and vascular program is a collaboration between cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and the hospital. It offers patients who suffer from this common heart rhythm disorder access to the latest medical advances and often a cure to their arrhythmia.
