About the Red Rose Ball
Preparations for the 36th Annual Red Rose Ball are underway. This year’s event is themed, “Champagne in the Enchanted Garden” and will be hosted by the St. Vincent’s HealthCare Foundation at the Jacksonville Marriott at Southpoint. February 3, 2017.
“The Red Rose Ball is a wonderful event which helps us fulfill our Mission to provide compassionate care to all people in our community, no matter where they are in life,” said St. Vincent’s HealthCare Foundation President, Jane R. Lanier, CFRE. “Each year, our sponsors and patrons help us raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for programs that help make our community healthier for all.”
This year, all proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent’s pulmonary program. The funds will be used for early diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. A new program for early detection is being developed by St. Vincent’s Lung, Sleep and Critical Care physicians.
Each year, the Red Rose Ball raises money to continue our Mission to serve the sick and the poor in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Last year, the event raised almost $400,000.
Always a memorable occasion, the Red Rose Ball is an enchanted evening of black tie and gowns featuring a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, as well as live and silent auctions. Cocktails begin at 7 pm, followed by dinner at 8 pm.
