I have wanted to be a doctor since I was a child. I can remember watching Quincy, M.E. on TV when I was probably 3 or 4 years old and telling people I wanted to be a forensic pathologist when I grew up. I chose Obstetrics because it is very gratifying and, as a woman and mother, I have experienced many of the things my patients go through which helps me to be empathetic. I cry when they cry, worry when they worry, but also feel so privileged to share the pure joy of bringing life into this world.
I have been in Jacksonville since 2001, so it is now my home. It’s great to live in a place with easy access to the beach, rivers, and great attractions for the kids. Every free moment I get is spent with my husband and three sons, so I’m almost as busy away from the office as I am in the office.
