From the Doctor

When I was young, I had a cousin with a heart defect who passed away entirely too young. I would visit her often and only knew she had a “hole in her heart.” Later in medical school I learned that VSF had taken my cousin away. Being so close to a situation like that, I felt compelled to make a change, so I dedicated my career to cardiology and eventually electrophysiology.

I love practicing in this area. My mother was a rheumatologist in the area, so I’ve seen the city and the medical community grow leaps and bounds. It’s exciting to see Jacksonville being recognized as a leading city in the nation for healthcare and to be a part of this movement.
