Disability, Life, and Long Term Care Insurance

No one knows better than healthcare providers that accidents sometimes happen. That's why St. Vincent's HealthCare offers a number of insurance options that give you and your family peace of mind.

Disability Insurance  

  • Core Short Term Disability is provided for full time associates at 50% of your base rate at no cost  to you. Full time associates can purchase Supplemental Short Term Disability up to 20% your base rate. Part time associates can purchase 50% or 70% Short Term Disability coverage. Short Disability provides income protection should a disability temporarily prevent you from working.
  • Core Long Term Disability is provided for full and part time associates at 50% of your base rate at no cost to you. You must be disabled for a period of 180 days before benefit payments begin.
  • Supplemental Long Term Disability is available. You may purchase this additional coverage to extend the coverage of your Core Long Term Disability. 

Life Insurance

  • Core Life Insurance is provided to associates at one times your annual base salary at no cost.
  • Supplemental Life Insurance is available for associates to purchase.
  • Spouse and Child Life Insurance options are available.
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance is available. You may choose associate only or family coverage. 

Long Term Care Insurance

Provides care at home or in a facility, such as a nursing home.

Flexible Spending Accounts
  • CARE Account - (dependent care account) can be used to pay for eligible dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
  • Health Account - (non-reimbursed medical/dental expenses) allows you to pay for eligible health and dental expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Health Savings Accounts

Available for you when you enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan. You can contribute pre-tax dollars up to the IRS limit. St. Vincent's will contribute $200 per celndar year if you are enrolled in single coverage and $300 per calendar year if you are enrolled in spuse, child(ren) or family coverage.

Hyatt Legal Services

Provides access to an attorney for services.

Business Travel Accident

Supplement to other life insurance and is employer provided.
