Disability, Life, and Long Term Care Insurance
No one knows better than healthcare providers that accidents sometimes happen. That's why St. Vincent's HealthCare offers a number of insurance options that give you and your family peace of mind.
Disability Insurance
- Short Term Disability provides income protection should a disability temporarily prevent you from working.
- Core Long Term Disability is provided at 50% of your base rate at no cost to you. You must be disabled for a period of 180 days before benefit payments begin.
- Supplemental Long Term Disability is available. You may purchase this additional coverage to extend the coverage of your Core Long Term Disability.
Life Insurance
- Core Life Insurance is provided to associates at one times your annual base salary at no cost.
- Supplemental Life Insurance is available for associates to purchase.
- Spouse and Child Life Insurance options are available.
- Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance is available. You may choose associate only or family coverage.
Long Term Care Insurance
Provides care at home or in a facility, such as a nursing home.

- CARE Account - (dependent care account) can be used to pay for eligible dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
