St. Vincent’s Makes List of ‘Great Places to Work in Healthcare’
Jacksonville, FL (March 26, 2015) – Becker’s Healthcare has named St. Vincent’s one of the ‘150 great places to work in healthcare.’ St. Vincent’s, a ministry of Ascension Health, is one of only a handful of Florida hospitals to receive the distinction this year.
The list was developed through a combination of nominations and editorial research. The organizations on this list were chosen for their benefits offerings, wellness programs, commitment to diversity and inclusion, professional development opportunities and environments that promote employee satisfaction and work-life balance.
“It’s all about the Mission at St. Vincent’s. Associates consider their work a calling here. The culture to go above and beyond for our patients is contagious. This environment helps our associates flourish and ultimately improves the overall patient experience. We are honored Becker’s has taken note of this great work,” said St. Vincent’s HealthCare interim CEO Donnie Romine.
In December 2014, Becker’s also named St. Vincent’s among the top 100 health systems in the country with “great women’s health programs.” Hospitals were selected based on clinical accolades and recognition for women’s health excellence from various healthcare groups, including U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, CareChex and UNICEF’s Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.
“What a tremendous honor for everyone at St. Vincent’s – associates, leaders, physicians and volunteers. It takes everyone working together to create a great workplace, and that work is evidenced by the highquality, person-centered care provided to members of the community by everyone at St. Vincent’s,” said Patricia A. Maryland, Dr.PH, President, Healthcare Operations and Chief Operating Officer, Ascension Health.
