St. Vincent’s HealthCare Recognized for Outstanding Women’s Health Programs
Becker’s Hospital Review has named each of St. Vincent’s three hospitals among the top 100 in the country with “great women’s health programs.” St. Vincent’s HealthCare is a member of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and not-for-profit healthcare system. Becker’s selects hospitals that offer outstanding health services geared toward women, such as gynecology, obstetrics and women-focused heart and cancer care.
Hospitals are selected based on clinical accolades and recognition for women’s health excellence from various healthcare groups, including U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, CareChex and UNICEF’s Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.
Our Family Birth Place enjoys a stellar reputation within the community and delivers approximately 3,300 babies each year. St. Vincent’s Southside was named a baby-friendly hospital late last year. We are one of the few in the state to receive this distinction. Our Bryan Breast Health Center at Riverside has long been a hallmark of coordinated, compassionate care and St. Vincent’s is the only one in the region to offer women convenient, mobile mammography. Additionally, the health system has become a leader in educating women and their loved ones on how to identify heart disease in women.
“We proudly put significant resources into women’s health. This designation is a reflection of our associates’ and physicians’ commitment to helping women from across the region to live longer, healthier lives,” said Moody Chisholm, St. Vincent’s HealthCare CEO.
