St. Vincent's HealthCare receives a $150,000 gift from Bacardi for its residency program

St. Vincent’s HealthCare has received a gift of $150,000 from Bacardi, which has a bottling plant in Jacksonville, for construction of the new Bacardi Family Medicine Residency Education Center at St. Vincent’s Riverside.

Founded in 1972, St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program is a three-year community-based residency that trains 30 resident physicians annually.

The Bacardi Education Center will occupy space at St. Vincent’s Riverside and will consist of a conference room equipped with the latest technology, a lounge and two separate sleeping rooms for on-call residents. It will open in the fall.
