Lost photo brings back memories for Jacksonville daughter
By Lindsey Boetsch, First Coast News
In celebration of its 100th year, St. Vincent's has rolled out some new ads across the city. Jacksonville native Patricia Malone is thrilled that one of them includes a picture of her mom, Virginia.
Patricia says she never knew the picture was taken. Her friend saw the billboard and knew it was her mom. That's when she says her son told her he had to show her something.
"And I'm like, 'What do you want me to see?' We're driving around. We're supposed to be going to Publix and we're way on the other side of town. And I said, 'what do you want me to see?' And when I saw it, I can't even explain to you how I felt," said Malone.
Patricia says her mom was a nurse's aid for 30 years at St. Vincent's. She's just happy to see her mom being honored for her work.
