St. Vincent's recognized for women's health programs

By Alexa Epitropoulos

St. Vincent's HealthCare is a premiere place for women's health, according to a recent ranking by magazine Becker's Hospital Review.

The hospital's three locations in Riverside, Clay County and Southside landed a spot on the list of the top 100 hospitals for women's health programs, in part due to past honors.

St. Vincent's was rated as a high-performing hospital for gynecology by U.S. News & World Report in 2014. Its Southside location was also designated as a baby-friendly hospital by Baby-Friendly USA.

The hospital delivers about 3,300 babies per year, in addition to offering neonatal intensive care, obstetrics and gynecology services.

Its Riverside location also houses a breast health center, which offers services including digital mammography, breast ultrasound, minimally invasive biopsy, breast MRI and bone densitometry.
