U.S. News & World Report has named Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus, UF Health Jacksonville and St. Vincent's Medical Center to its annual list of “America’s Best Hospitals” published online today.

Mayo Clinic is ranked No. 1 in the Jacksonville metro area, No. 4 in Florida and among the top 50 hospitals nationally in cancer, gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, and neurology and neurosurgery.

Also making the best of metro Jacksonville list were UF Health Jacksonville (No. 2) — which also ranked No. 2 in state — and St. Vincent’s Medical Center (No. 3), which came in 16th among state hospitals.

To rank the best hospitals, U.S. News analyzes data from more than 5,000 medical centers, including 30-day mortality, re-admissions, nurse patient volume, nurse staffing and professional training opportunities.
