Health Notes: St. Vincent's Clay County has broken ground on its $33.1 million expansion project

By Florida Times-Union

St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay County broke ground Friday on its $33.1 million expansion project. The expansion will double the size of the medical center, adding maternity and women’s services, 30 inpatient beds, 13 treatment rooms in the Emergency Department and a shell to add 30 additional beds in the future.

St. Vincent’s will begin hiring in late spring 2016 to fill more than 100 new positions in a variety of fields, both clinical and non-clinical.

Opening of the expansion is tentatively scheduled for late summer 2016.
